Charleston Mayor Danny Jones and FestivALL Director Brittany Javins invite you to apply for the 13th annual FestivALL Capitol Street Art Fair and/or the 5th annual FestivALL Harvest Art Fair. Both of these fairs are juried by a panel of professional artisans and art administrators with a mission of displaying and selling fine art and fine crafts in Charleston, West Virginia. The FestivALL Capitol Street Art Fair takes place on June 24 and 25, the last two days of FestivALL, which is a ten-day festival of the arts. The FestivALL Harvest Art Fair takes place on October 21 and 22, the last two days of FestivALL FALL, which is a three-day festival.

The City of Wheeling Arts & Cultural Commission is officially accepting applications for the 7th annual Wheeling Arts & Cultural Fest, June 16-17, 2017 11am-8pm. The free arts festival seeks a diverse group of visual and performing artists as well as vendors. The Wheeling Arts & Culture Fest is one of the fastest growing and most relevant events in the Upper Ohio Valley, capturing audiences from across the region with performances in music, theatre, visual arts, dance, literary arts, culinary arts, historical and cultural arts. This unique festival, not only brings our community together for two days but offers free art and music classes for children and adults in the valley.

Good News Mountaineer Garage will be holding a silent auction Thursday, April 20, 2017 during Charleston’s ArtWalk from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. It will be hosted by Romano & Associates located at 230 Capitol Street, Suite 200, Charleston, WV. Details: Artwork must be for sale. Auction will be April 20, 2017 ending at 7:30 p.m. with announcement of sold pieces. Proceeds will be split 50/50 between GNMG and the artist, unless otherwise specified. Artists are encouraged to set the minimum bid.

The West Virginia Division of Culture and History invites West Virginia artists to enter the 20th WV Juried Exhibition since 1979. The biennial event celebrates the exceptional talents and creativity of Mountain State artists. More than $30,000 in awards are available for participants in the exhibition, as well as the opportunity to have work purchased for the West Virginia State Museum art collection.

Join Bucks County Community College, the Central Bucks Chamber of Commerce, and Alan Fetterman Fine Arts for a week of plein air painting in verdant and historic Bucks County. Paint the rolling landscapes, lakes and rivers, covered bridges, stone farm houses, and historic estates that have inspired artists for more than a century. The Bucks County Plein Air competition is open to all painters age 18 and older. All entrants will be juried, and the total number of participants will be limited to 50. At least 10 participating artists will be residents of Bucks County, PA. $15,000 in awards are available.

Each year, Arlington Arts Center selects approximately 14 artists from across the Mid-Atlantic region for solo exhibitions in AAC’s seven separate gallery spaces or outside on the grounds. This year’s jurors will include: Kate Haw, Director of the Smithsonian Institution’s Archives of American Art, and Mika Yoshitake, Assistant Curator at the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden.

American Art Marketing is a marketing and event production company dedicated to advancing the livelihood of artists and artisans. We produce five trademark exhibitions per year in cities along the East Coast of the U.S. and match artists with thousands of collectors year-round at our affiliate company, An American Craftsman Galleries, in New York City and Stockbridge, Massachusetts. All work must be handmade in the USA or Canada by the exhibiting artist. The 2nd annual Baltimore Fine Craft Show is a juried exhibition and sale of contemporary American & International crafts and design and is being produced in collaboration with the Baltimore’s 36th Annual Art, Antique, and Jewelry Show by the Palm Beach Show Group. Three jurors who are experts in the field and newly selected each year choose 150 artists from a large pool of applicants. Previous exhibitors must re-apply each year. No one is grandfathered into the show. There is no quota for any category of Craft Art. Artists are selected on the basis of the originality, artistic conception, design and quality of their work. The show does not charge sales commissions.

The 41st Annual Philadelphia Museum of Art Craft Show, a juried exhibition and retail sale, will be held at the Pennsylvania Convention Center from November 9 to 12, 2017, with a Preview Party on November 8. The jury will accept 195 craft artists. This show of Art by Hand serves as the Museum’s largest yearly fundraising event and is devoted to bringing wide public attention to the field of craft art. At the 2016 show, approximately 18,000 visitors attended.  Out of the 195 artists exhibiting, 50 were new to the show.  Ten of the 50 artists new to the show were juried in under the emerging artist category.

Jule Collins Smith Museum of Fine Art, Auburn University (JCSM) is one of Alabama’s leading art museums, with a growing collection of art ranging from traditional to contemporary—including outdoor sculpture! JCSM is accepting submissions from sculptors to participate in Out of the Box: A Juried Outdoor Sculpture Exhibition (Out of the Box) opening October 6, 2017. Out of the Box is a biennial competition that began in 2013 in celebration of the museum’s 10-year anniversary. Now in our third iteration, our program continues in its goal of presenting engaging and educational works of art to our university audience and broader community, as well as actively pursuing the growth of our permanent collection of outdoor sculpture.

Richard & Joanna Rothbard, the producers who are also the owners of An American Craftsman Galleries in NYC, will be selecting artists based on originality of design, technical expertise, overall aesthetics as well as presentation. All categories of fine craft and fine art will be considered and in balance so that a cross section of all media will be represented.
