Every year, Tamarack: The Best of West Virginia and the Tamarack Foundation for the Arts celebrate West Virginia artists and artisans by showcasing their creativity and talent in this juried competition.  The Best of West Virginia show is the only exhibition hosted by the David L. Dickirson Fine Arts Gallery that may be entered by any artist or artisan who is a state resident. The exhibition opens annually on West Virginia Day weekend. Participants in the exhibition compete for four monetary awards.

The prospectus for this competition is typically distributed in February with entries due in April. To be notified when the artwork submission process opens, email the gallery at artgallery@tamarackwv.com.

The 2019 Best of West Virginia Juried Exhibition will be on view from June 15 through August 4, 2019 at the David L. Dickirson Fine Arts Gallery inside Tamarack: The Best of West Virginia, One Tamarack Park, Beckley, WV.  The public is invited to the official awards ceremony on June 22, 2019 at 2:00 p.m.
