Tamarack, the Best of WV is looking for new souvenir product that wholesales under $20.  Products should be geared toward tourists and promote the state of West Virginia as a whole.  Artists must obtain and present written permission to use any licensed or trademarked images or slogans such as, “Wild, Wonderful West Virginia.”  Artists and crafters may contact Deaner Williams at Tamarack for consideration.

The Pleasants Area Chamber of Commerce is seeking local vendors, artists and crafters interested in the annual pop-up retail store concept. The Chamber wants to provide temporary retail outlets in Pleasants County for artists, craftsmen and vendors to sell their products on a part-time seasonal basis running through November and December.

The City of Mount Hope requests proposals and qualifications from artists and graphic designers for the design and implementation of “Downtown Mount Hope” mural as part of the larger Mount Hope Gateway Community project.  The proposed mural will be installed by June 15, 2018 on a prominent wall surface downtown along Main Street.

The City of Mount Hope requests proposals and qualifications from artists and graphic designers for the design and implementation of four stand alone art pieces as part of the larger Mount Hope Gateway Community project.  These four pieces will be displayed in the front windows of businesses along Mt. Hope Main Street and featured in a “walking tour” of the town’s historic district. The artwork must be completed by June 15, 2018.

Gallery Eleven is a West Virginia artist co-op with the mission of presenting a diverse range of West Virginian artistic expressions. The Crazy Eights annual small works exhibit is the only non-juried exhibition of the year.  All ages and media are accepted.  Galley Eleven strives to connect new and emerging artists with established working artists and exhibition opportunities through the annual event.

Apartment Earth Gallery in Charleston, WV hosts the 3rd Annual Juried Exhibition February 15 through March 10, 2018.  First place, Second place, and Honorable Mention will be awarded by jurors, Jessica and Jack O’Hearn.  The call for entry is open to all artists (including students).  All forms of visual art may be submitted.

Apartment Earth is a contemporary fine art gallery devoted to presenting exemplary works primarily from emerging and undiscovered artists. The works are daring, provocative – and sometimes even controversial.  The space is a vibrant contributor to Charleston’s community and is often one of the most popular stops during monthly arts events.

In conjunction with Looking at Appalachia, on display at the WVU Downtown Campus Library, the Arts in the Libraries Program is developing a localized exhibit, Looking at Morgantown, to be on view April-August, 2018 in Room 1020 in the Downtown Campus Library.

Looking at Appalachia is a juried project exploring the diversity of Appalachia fifty years after the declaration of the War on Poverty.  The call for photography is specific to Monongalia County; what people and places represent Morgantown to you?

The WVU Art in the Libraries Committee will jury the submissions for exhibition. Winners will be notified in March 2018 via email. Libraries will print and install the photographs.

Membership to Southern Highlands Craft Guild is open to craftspeople living in the specified counties of the Southern Appalachian mountains.  With a creative community of juried members spanning over nine states, the Southern Highlands Craft Guild fosters opportunities for makers to build, market, and maintain their creative livelihood through continuing education, retail outlets, and mentorship.  We are invested in helping members achieve their goals and providing them with the resources to refine and sell their craft.


11th National Art Exhibition

The National Art Exhibition is one of the nation’s most prestigious juried exhibitions of two-dimensional media. Punta Gorda is geographically situated in Southwest Florida between Sarasota and Naples, an affluent art-buying market. . The exhibition will take place at the Visual Arts Center, February 2 – March 20, 2018.  Total prizes over $7,000.

The Art Springs is a free 2-day outdoor festival at Hill Wheatley Plaza in downtown Hot Springs Saturday, May 5, and Sunday, May 6, 2018 as part of the annual 10-day Hot Springs culture celebration – Arts & The Park. 2017 attendance was over 3,500. The event is a juried arts festival with fine artist and fine artisan booths, a children’s art activity area, art demonstrations, and free family-friendly entertainment.  Booth awards will be given for People’s Choice, Artists’ Choice, and HSACA Board Choice. Each category winner receives a $75 cash award and a free booth for Art Springs 2019. Food trucks and beverages will be on site. Art Springs Festival hotel discounts will be available at downtown hotels.

Each show has its own unique character and demonstrates our unwavering commitment to excellence. Every year the shows welcome tens of thousands of customers to the events which are held in affluent communities with loyal arts-conscious buyers.

Established and emerging artists of the highest caliber are encouraged to apply to any or all of our seven events in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut where you will be in the company of peers who are making original work that shows exemplary design and craftsmanship.
