Artistry on Main will host the 1st annual Spring into Art Juried Craft Show at the Brushy Fork Convention Center in Buckhannon April 13-14, 2018.  Artisans are required to submit 3-6 images of their work by February 15 for jury.  The jury process is waived for Tamarack juried artists.

Charleston Mayor Danny Jones and FestivALL Director Brittany Javins invite you to apply for the 14th annual FestivALL Capitol Street Art Fair and/or the 6th annual FestivALL Harvest Art Fair. Both of these fairs are juried by a panel of professional artisans and art administrators with a mission of displaying and selling fine art and fine crafts in Charleston, West Virginia. The FestivALL Capitol Street Art Fair takes place on June 23 and 24, the last two days of FestivALL, which is a ten-day festival of the arts. The FestivALL Harvest Art Fair takes place on October 20 and 21, the last two days of FestivALL FALL, which is a three-day festival.

The 2018 Wheeling Arts & Culture Fest will be on Friday, June 15 2pm-10pm and Saturday, June 16 from 11am-10pm at Wheeling Heritage Port. The admission-free event is open to everyone in the community and offers a variety of arts and cultural programs, including live music, visual arts, theatre, dance, literature, culinary demonstrations, historical arts, and much more.

The West Virginia Watercolor Society invites artists working in water-based media to enter its annual national juried exhibition, Aqueous 2018, May 19 – July 7, 2018, at Parkersburg Art Center in Parkersburg, W.Va. Juror is Ron Thurston, AWS. More than $2,300 in awards. West Virginia Watercolor Society members $10 per entry; non members $20 per entry. No more than two entries per artist. Entered works must have been completed since January 2016. Entry deadline March 30, 2018.

TAMARACK: The Best of West Virginia encourage West Virginia artists working in all media to submit up to two (2) entries of their work to be considered for inclusion in the annual juried exhibition to be held June 16-August 5, 2018. Artists working in multiple media categories are eligible to enter work from up to three (3) media categories. However, a separate application and entry fee is required for each additional media category.

This exhibition is open to all artists who currently reside in West Virginia. You do not need to be juried into Tamarack to enter.  Cash awards will be given for Best of Show, Second place, Third place and People’s Choice.

Mountain State Art & Craft Fair®: An Appalachian Experience has been part of the West Virginia landscape for more than a half-century. This year’s Fair will be a homecoming and will be July 4-7, 2018 at Cedar Lakes Conference Center, near Ripley, WV. The event is considered the “Granddaddy of Art & Craft Fairs.” Introduced in 1963, the Fair served as a marketplace for West Virginia’s skilled artisans. The “Celebration of Art, Food, Music and Culture” will continue to feature the outstanding artisans of the region in a unique environment.

The 42nd Annual Philadelphia Museum of Art Craft Show, a juried exhibition and retail sale, will be held at the Pennsylvania Convention Center from November 2-4, 2018, with a Preview Party on November 1. The jury will accept 195 craft artists.

This show of Art by Hand serves as the Museum’s largest yearly fundraising event and is devoted to bringing wide public attention to the field of craft art.  At the 2017 show, approximately 18,000 visitors attended.  Out of the 195 artists exhibiting, 35 were new to the show.  13 of the 35 artists new to the show were juried in under the emerging artist category.

In addition to the Best of Show award ($1,500), there are nine (9) cash awards ($1,000 each) for excellence selected and sponsored by foundations, individuals and arts organizations.


22nd San Angelo National Ceramic Competition

The 22nd San Angelo National Ceramic Competition, held at the San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts, highlights a broad range of attitudes in the clay medium from functional to sculptural work. The Museum devotes its entire space to the show. In the last competition 115 works were displayed.  The competition is open to all artists 18 or older who are residents of the United States, Canada, or Mexico. All work must have been completed within the last two years. Works previously accepted into this competition are ineligible.   $6,000 in prized will be awarded.

The Colored Pencil Society of America International Exhibition

The CPSA International Exhibition is an annual juried gallery exhibition exclusively for works done in 100% colored pencil. It is held in a different city each year to provide more people the opportunity to enjoy colored pencil as a fine art medium. Awards include a $5,000 Best of Show and CIPPY Award. Numerous monetary awards are presented each year. In 2017, cash awards totaled $16,300. Works are not required to be for sale.  25% Commission on sales.  See details.
