About the Tamarack Foundation

Growing the creative economy of West Virginia.

Mission

To nurture a vibrant and prosperous arts community, foster artistic excellence, and bring people together for powerful shared experiences that inspire a creative exchange of ideas.

Vision

A West Virginia where artists prosper from their creative practice and make meaningful contributions to the well-being of our communities.

Purpose

We seek to create a culture and sense of place that values creativity of all expressions and sustains artists and communities.

Emerging Artist Fellowship

Empowering WV Artists

Emerging Artist Fellows are thriving early-career artists. They demonstrate not only a superior level of mastery in their craft, but also the aptitude to become successful professionals leading well-managed creative enterprises. Fellows will be selected by an independent committee comprised of master-level artists and arts leaders from across the state of West Virginia.

The Fellowship provides technical training, mentoring, consulting, and branding to assist each fellow with the successful development and launch of their creative business. Through increased visibility, marketing and networking we assist each one to integrate into local and regional markets and access professional development.

Artist Opportunities

creating connections

The Tamarack Foundation is dedicated to connecting artists in West Virginia with local and national opportunities to develop their crafts, engage with their communities & grow as creative entrepreneurs.
