With a background in both studio and commercial art and design, I like to embrace my flexibility as a maker. However, no matter what medium I use, an inclination towards fine detail and realism is often present in my work. My personal work is often influenced by the people and objects in my environment. I believe that art doesn’t have to be complicated, and that beauty and inspiration can be found in even the smallest of moments.
Though I am a California native, I have lived in West Virginia since the early 90’s. I double-majored in studio art and advertising/graphic design at Concord University in Athens, WV, and feel that studying multiple disciplines contributed to my love of experimentation and variety. While my main focus is drawing and painting, I am often working on a range of projects, such as illustration work, jewelry making, and photography. I am currently producing both personal and freelance work from my home studio in the mountains of beautiful Monroe county.
