Melony Gingery

Melony’s Menagerie was named for the eclectic nature of my art which is a varied mixture of medium, color, and movement. I believe the story of a piece is just as important as the art. Whether it is a whimsical fish, a childhood memory, or a daring dreamer, each piece aspires to illuminate your world with hope and encourages you to do the same.

We each spin through life in a world of our own making. A place created by us, for us.
I design art that speaks the language of my you-niverse. Art that shines hope and light on the shadows of life. Born with a creative spirit, I have experimented with acrylics and jewelry-making, but have found my home in sculpture and inks. Using a two-part epoxy resin clay, I hand sculpt figures with movement and emotion. My inspiration comes from childhood innocence and the power which it holds.

Alcohol inks have a vibrant colors and magical fluidity. The nonporous surface of Yupo paper allows the ink to dance across the page. I try my best not to get in the way.
