About Alec Elkins
I consider myself more of a fluid artist than anything else, working with resin and acrylics. In recent years I’ve taken up drying and pressing flowers to marry two of my loves, art and nature. My most recent piece was a portrait of a woman in flowers encased in resin, and I’m looking forward to producing similar works in the future.
Biography
I work with mixed media, with drying and pressing flowers for resin art as well as fluid acrylic painting. I’ve been doing art off and on for six years. I’m from Logan County and currently work as a mental health counselor in assertive community treatment. Art assists me in avoiding cycles of burnout in my career, and I enjoy working art booths when I can, as well as getting to know other local artists. I’d love to bring more art to my local community and feel joining this network will benefit me in that.
