My bodies of works are diversified, so are my interests: travel photography, architectural details, spiritual experiences, whimsical and metaphorical series, nature imagery dedicated to the healthcare environment, traditional and digital photographic collages, and mixed media. Nevertheless, they all have a common focus: triggering positive emotions while reminding the audience of the richness and beauty in the World and of what matters in life. My artworks are available in different formats, though I favor creating in large size for increased visual impact.
I do all my own printing in my home studio. Very sensitive to color nuances, I spend considerable time test printing and optimizing my images until each truly conveys my vision and meets my standards for excellence. I explore archival impression on different media to discover which one better fits a specific body of work. I have created murals as large as 6 feet by 5 feet printed on satin fabric and dream of covering entire walls!
I usually work simultaneously on several projects, seemingly at opposite ends of the spectrum but connected at a deeper level. I keep investigating ways to fully express my vision, my creativity and the ideas that proliferate on my mind at the speed of light!
Many of my artistic endeavors have for a long time been interconnected with my love and reverence for Nature. One of my passions is my artistic involvement within the healthcare environment where I strive to raise awareness about the appropriateness of visual stimulations offered to patients, staff and visitors. I am driven by the desire to promote the Healing Power of Nature through its visual impact and strongly believe in the urgency to conserve and protect our natural environment.
Originally from France, I am essentially a self-taught photographer and self-made artist. After studies in Psychology and Business Management, I discovered my eye for Photography while traveling as my employer’s Travel and Seminars Manager. At that time, I took a few classes and workshops at the Photography Institute in Paris and eventually relinquished corporate life to pursue my interests. This new chapter of my life debuted in Alexandria, VA, USA, in 1992.My photographs have been featured in hundreds of juried art exhibitions and more than twenty solo shows. They have been exhibited at the National Museum of Women in the Arts in Washington D.C., the Frostburg Museum, MD, The Washington County Museum of Fine Art, Hagerstown, MD, the Huntington Museum of Arts, Huntington, WV and Coos Art Museum, Coos Bay, OR. They have been published in the books “Capitol Hill Beyond the Monuments”, “Washington DC, a City on the Hill” & magazines such as “Where” and “Photographers’ Forum”. My artwork can be found in the Washington D.C. Art Bank, in private collections in Europe and Africa and throughout the U.S.A. including the Washington Cancer Institute and the Greater Baltimore Medical Center.I have relocated to the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia in 2006 and continued my photographic and artistic education through workshops and Internet tutorials. A Tamarack juried artist since 2008, I have received numerous awards and distinctions and several professional development grants from the Art Commission of the WV Division of Culture & History and other organizations.
