About Doug Kreinik

Kreinik threads and yarns are known to inspire designers and crafters to create high-end attractive products. My job is to study trends and visualize where my yarns and threads can be used. Creativity is my guiding star.

Biography

I am a manufacturer of decorative metallic and silk threads and yarns located in Parkersburg. We manufacture threads used in all crafts, knitting, sewing, quilting, crochet, cross stitching, embroidery, kumihimo, tatting, lacemaking, card making, scrapbooking,
cosplay, costuming, string art, fishing lures, and more. Add a little sparkle to that crocheted octopus, reflective yarns to that knitted beanie, metallic iron-on threads to Christmas decorations, fancy cording as trims, or even glow-in-the-dark yarns to that specially designed cross stitch.
I have a BSBA in Business from WVU along with an associate degree in computer programming, and over four decades of working with manufacturers, designers and consumers to create memorable products. I have given workshops around the world on using my products and helping artisans, designers, and manufacturers to stretch the imagination.
