About Elizabeth Coffman
I started painting as a hobby over 20 years ago. I found acrylic fluid art on You Tube and knew this was the method of painting that I wanted to explore. I love watching the paints and mediums react with each other on the canvas. Each piece is unique and provides me with more knowledge in how the paints and mediums work with each other. During my journey I was asked to display my art at the monthly Charleston ArtWalk in July of 2019. This gave me the confidence I needed to continue with and expand my journey in art by launching Studio Liz in July of 2021.
Biography
Growing up in Florida, Elizabeth ‘Liz’ Coffman was inspired by the colors and textures created by nature in the Gulf of Mexico and the surrounding landscape. After moving to West Virginia, Liz’s love of nature only deepened with the beauty of the mountains, rivers, and unparalleled sunsets of her new home. Over 20 years ago she turned to acrylic painting to express her passion for all the natural beauty that surrounded and inspired her every day. Liz has recently expanded her creativity by implementing the acrylic fluid method in her work and continues to produce vibrant representations of the world around her from her home in Charleston, WV where she resides.
