Website

I am, in essence, a storyteller. My medium is video. The tools I use have changed over time, from analog production to digital production. I used to share my stories through broadcast television, mainly public broadcasting (PBS). Now, as an independent filmmaker, I use broadband.

While I do client work, my creative focus is an online documentary series called ArtVoiceWV, which tells the stories of West Virginia artists. Actually they tell their own stories. ArtVoiceWV is all in their words, their vision, and their voice.

Biography

I am an independent filmmaker. During my 30+ year career in broadcast television, I developed and produced original documentaries, adventure travel, lifestyle, public affairs, and science programs for public television. My career path has taken me across the country, from San Francisco to Beckely, WV; Reno, NV; to Miami FL. With degrees in History (Niagara University) and Theatre (University of Washington), I have always been attracted to telling stories and found my creative spirit working in public broadcasting. My work has received numerous Awards: Emmy, Telly, and National Science Foundation. After retiring from public broadcasting, my creative drive has not waned. Now, I produce short films about WV artists through my company 78 Degrees West Films.
