About Janice Schimmel
I am a self-taught photographer living in Walker, WV. My passion lies in black and white photography. Photography has allowed me to slow down and look around at the beautiful world around me. I particularly like photographing ordinary things in unique and interesting new vantage points. Light is the medium of a photographer and since seriously taking up photography I notice how light changes everyday items.
Biography
I am a photographer and I live in Walker, WV. I have always loved photography but just never seemed to have the time to pursue my interest, until I purchased my DSLR in 2014. Then the world of photography opened up for me and I found the time. I am self-taught and particularly love to photograph in black and white. I am a Tamarack juried artist. I have had my work exhibited in The Best of WV art show in 2016 as well as the 2016 Allied Artists of WV art show at the Parkersburg Art Center and The River 2016 art show at the Parkersburg Art Center.
