About John Verbosky

I am a wood/epoxy artist making river charcuterie boards and tables as well as wall art and benches. I am very color blind so it seems my color mixes are unique to mainstream charcuterie makers. I am inspired by the beauty of epoxy/wood and mica powder and can’t wait to start my next one. As a son of a coal miner my business motto is “where epoxy is the new coal”. I’m motivated to help West Virginia move past our dependence on fossil fuel by creating my little space of new direction, hopefully seen as inspiration to others. In August I will be 60 years old and my artistic life is just beginning.

Biography

I am a wood/epoxy artist building river tables and chacuterie boards. I was born and raised in Morgantown, West Virginia and reside there today. I made a charcuterie board for my daughter when she graduated from WVU. I had some extra wood and made a few more. I had a yard sale put out the boards and they sold fast and furious. Buyers said I should do a show which I did then I did another. Fast forward 6 months and as of yesterday I became a Tamarack artist looking forward to begin a new wave of my life as an artist.
