About Lindsay Emmite

Hi my name is Lindsay Emmite! I am a local artist from Charleston and Huntington, WV and I work with gouache and watercolor as well as printmaking, specifically linocuts. I am inspired by nature as well as color and music and I find joy and inspiration from my condition called synesthesia. I am able to hear color, so listening to music or sounds in nature drive my creative process. My process is also to find joy in my creative practice by experimentation and to share that joy with others whether that be through a purchase of one of my prints, or working with a client to make a personalized piece.

Bashful Bee Press is an llc that produces prints, stickers and other works by artist, Lindsay Emmite. Her work can be found online on her Etsy Shop, or at the Red Caboose in Huntington, WV.

Biography

Hi my name is Lindsay and I am an independent artist and business owner of Bashful Bee Press run from my home and online. I create gouache and watercolor paintings and illustrations and have a background in printmaking. I received my BFA at Marshall University in 2013. I currently am in Charleston, WV with plans in the near future to relocate to Huntington, WV. I am a consigner at the Red Caboose in Huntington and do a limited number of commissions each year. I enjoy collaborating with other artists in WV and have worked with Witty Voyager in Weirton, WV. I like to travel the state and do Markets and Festivals to sell my prints when I am able to!
