About Morgan Barchett
When looking for inspirations I often look towards nature. I enjoy using or improving on patterns found in nature in my pieces. Some of my artwork is intentionally uncomfortable, and some is clinically professional. When not using a digital medium, I lean more towards mixed media or a college style of work.
Morgan is a designer living in Huntington, West Virginia and studying at Marshall University toward a BFA in graphic design and a minor in creative writing. Much of their work explores the tie between classic and modern design with an emphasis in type, geometry, and simplicity. Using printmaking, digital, charcoal, and pen, Morgan uses technical skills to create promotional and experimental content.
They have exhibited their work in the Marshall University’s Birke Gallery, where they received recognition in the form of third place in the Spring 2022 Foundations contest.
