Painting and illustration are passions that I explore with full creative freedom. My love for the outdoors provides inspiration and lends itself to the subjects of my paintings. A location’s appearance can differ in moments in time. I’m drawn to changes in light and weather that evoke feelings of awe or nostalgia. My paintings and illustrations are visual time capsules of a specific place or object. I have always had an interest in selling my own artwork. I decided to put the idea of owning a small business in motion and opened my Etsy shop earlier this summer (July 2017).

Biography

I’m a graphic designer/marketer by day and painter in the in-between based in Morgantown, West Virginia. Originally from Clarksburg, WV, I have been drawing for as long as I can remember. While studying Graphic Design at WVU I developed a love for oil painting. By day, I’m currently the Director of Communications for the WVU College of Creative Arts where I oversee marketing and handle graphic/web design needs for the college. I also design for a variety of freelance clients. Some of my design work incorporates illustration or a hand-drawn element. Because of my interest in illustration in design, I’ve recently started exploring fine-art watercolor illustrations.
