Mountain Art Glass was founded in 1990 with an emphasis on home goods such as Tiffany reproductions, cabinet inserts, doorways and transoms, and others. I draw my inspiration for my landscape pieces from where I live, the New River Gorge! I enjoy the beauty in glass whether used for kaleidoscope object cups or a simple pair of earrings! My favorite colors are a constant in my work, and I enjoy using them to reflect the seasons, my own personal tastes, and the knowledge that someone else will appreciate my work for the very same reason.
Biography
I have loved West Virginia and the New River area since first visiting in 1974. Having made West Virginia my home 26 years ago, I have had the New River Gorge as my inspiration for my commissions and enjoy sharing the beauty through my art.
Today, I’m gratified to teach the art of stained glass in my home studio. In the past, juried art fairs have been a part of my schedule including Mountain State Arts and Craft Fair at Cedar Lakes, FestivALL in Charleston, Kentucky Crafted, Winterfair in Ohio, and shows at Tamarack and the West Virginia State Fair to name a few.
My unique and one of a kind kaleidoscopes, jewelry, and other original designs are available at Tamarack: The Best of West Virginia, Studio B, and several others venues in West Virginia and around the United States.
I am currently a member of the Tamarack Artisan Advisory Board representing glass.
Multiple lectures and small workshops over the past 27 years have exposed me to many mediums used in my glasswork.
