About Paul Berryhill

I paint realistic watercolor paintings in a realistic style. I grew up in a small farm community in Berkeley county WV and the beauty of nature has always captured my interest and inspires me. I was introduced to art by my aunt who lived near the Chesapeake bay and tidal waterways of Virginia and I enjoy painting seascapes, and various boats of that area. I also do commission work of various pets, dogs, cats along with paint deer and wild birds.

Biography

I am a watercolor artist painting in a realistic style. I mostly paint land and seascapes along with animals and birds. I am signature member of the Baltimore watercolor society from Glengary WV. I was introduced to art and painting by my aunt. She introduced me to watercolor and to her first instructor J. Robert Burnell with whom I did numerous workshops as well as his mentorship of me. I also have studied workshops with Terry Harrison from the UK. Art has introduced me to being part of the community as well as bring person satisfaction that I believe it is what I am ment to do. I am a featured artist on Arches-papers.com and have participated in various shows in the mid Atlantic region along with being a guest curator twice at the Ice House in Berkeley Springs WV. I have held numerous solo shows and have begun teaching watercolor in 2018 hosting a week long workshop.
