Visual grace merged with technical perfection is the intention I strive for in my ongoing exploration.

My goal is that this union in some way translates to elegance no matter how well the viewer or user might understand of the complexity of the language used.

I have been working primarily in hand thrown porcelain and stoneware for many years and consider the forms as canvases, sometimes incorporating subtle textures to either leave unglazed or surfaces where glaze color will be applied.  I am interested in the contrasts and relationships between forms, surfaces, color and luminescence.  I also have a strong ongoing interest in clay and glaze chemistry and the effects of interactions between multiple layers of glazes and how they can add depth to the surfaces of a piece.
