About Jordan Warren

Nestled in the heart of Berkeley Springs, West Virginia, the Morgan Arts Council (MAC) stands as a beacon of creativity and cultural enrichment. For over four decades, MAC has been dedicated to fostering a vibrant arts community, providing a dynamic platform for artists of all disciplines to express, explore, and elevate their work.

Our mission is rooted in the belief that the arts are essential to the human experience. We strive to make the arts accessible to all, nurturing the talents of both emerging and established artists, and enriching the lives of our community members. Through our diverse programming, we offer a rich tapestry of artistic experiences that include visual arts, music, theater, dance, and literary arts.

At the MAC Ice House, our flagship venue, we host an array of exhibitions, performances, workshops, and community events that celebrate the transformative power of the arts. This historic building, once a commercial ice plant, now serves as a lively hub where creativity flourishes, ideas are exchanged, and cultural dialogues are sparked.

Our commitment extends beyond the walls of the Ice House. We engage with the broader community through public art projects, outdoor concerts, and educational outreach programs that bring the arts into schools and public spaces. These initiatives are designed to inspire and connect people, fostering a sense of belonging and shared cultural heritage.

The Morgan Arts Council is more than an organization; it is a community of passionate individuals who believe in the power of art to inspire change, provoke thought, and bring people together. We invite you to join us in celebrating the arts, whether as an artist, participant, supporter, or enthusiast. Together, we can continue to enrich the cultural fabric of Berkeley Springs and beyond.

Biography

My name is Jordan Warren, I am the Executive Director of the Morgan Arts Council. I have been a nonprofit leader since 2012, primarily focusing on Symphony Orchestras. I am a classically trained musician with a B.A. in Music Education from Catawba College, Salisbury, North Carolina, and an M.A. in Art Administration from Winthrop University, Rock Hill, South Carolina.

I started learning about music at a young age. My father, a drummer in various forms, would drum around the house, and I fell in love instantly. My education brought me into teaching as an assistant band director for a few years only to discover my passion for nonprofit organizations. I have fallen in love with many more art forms including painting, pottery, stained glass, and more!
