About Leslie

Created with bright colors and nostalgic whimsy, my work focuses on companionship, moments of reflection, and imagination at playtime. Each print is built as its own little world, telling its own little story. These stories unfold by layering together precious objects with soft, occasionally mundane moments. Through this process, a completed image emerges, telling of a shared experience made richer by the small pieces that hold it together.

Biography

My name is Leslie Norris, and I am a silkscreen printmaker. All of my work is hand-printed with love out of my home studio in Morgantown, West Virginia. I spent most of my childhood in Hancock County, playing in the woods and backstreets of a little pottery town named Newell on the tip-top of West Virginia. While time and industry have forgotten much of what that community has to offer, the small town’s environment and the region’s people have left a lasting impression on me and the work I create.

You can check out some of my work and see what I am up to on my website, www.SugarPopPress.com, or online @sugarpoppress.
