Website

I am inspired to create art by looking at all things around me – colors, shapes, and the relationships of objects. Using photographs as reference, I like to work with the human figure and with faces. Taking as inspiration the poses, but putting them in different situations from the original photo, I rearrange and manipulate the objects so that in the end they represent me and the story I am trying to convey.

I try to challenge myself with every piece I create – with textures and methods I have not yet experimented with. While my main medium is acrylics, I have recently discovered the wonderful world of watercolors and have been learning to manipulate this medium into my own style of work. I also enjoy working using wire for jewelry making and creating ceramic pieces. Trying new things and different ways of doing things is what I strive for. There are so many artistic and creative ways of doing things and I want to try them all.
