Website

The Pretty Pickle was founded in 2008 as a means to sell fiber crafts designed and created by Megan Brown. The business evolved after a few years to include jewelry. Resin was introduced, and there, the union of nature and art became one. The Botanical line includes jewelry pieces that feature pressed flowers, ferns, and leaves in open back bezels. The Wearable Wing line includes stunningly beautiful and vibrant wings from moths and butterflies from various parts of the globe.

Biography

I am a jewelry designer specializing in resin work with botanicals and wings. Most of my designs are real pressed flowers, ferns, and leaves and real wings from moths and butterflies, encased in resin for “nature made wearable” pieces. I live (and was raised) in Marion County and currently reside in Colfax, WV. Creativity is part of my soul that must come out! I love trying new techniques and crafts and honing my skills. I am an educator by day and artist by night/weekend. I wholesale with many shops around the US and am also a juried artist with the Tamarack: The Best of West Virginia retail facility in Beckley, WV. In addition, I have an online shop and attend many festivals and arts/craft shows around the state.
