About Nancy Peyton
My work as a multidisciplinary artist focuses on finding beauty in ordinary things. Whether it be through my camera lens or conveyed with a needle and thread, my purpose is always to showcase my experiences while playing with both whimsy and nostalgia.
Biography
Nancy Peyton-Brown is a multidisciplinary artist residing in the southern coalfields of Logan, WV. She is the owner and artist of Peyton Media. She embraces her southern roots through the folk art of hand embroidery with modern twists. She also works in digital art, painting and photography and brings these art forms together in pieces when she can. Peyton-Brown has displayed her work through both the Charleston and Huntington Art Walks, and has hosted pop-up shops all across southern West Virginia. Additionally, her work has been featured in the Huntington Museum of Art, the Tamarack as a juried artisan, the Beckley Art Center, the Mountain Arts Center, the Appalachian Center for the Arts, and the Sanger Gallery. She is also juried into Old Mountain Field Fine Arts and Crafts and The Red Caboose.
