My main medium is photography. I enjoy capturing the world around me in its purest forms, including nature photography, candids, and historic structures. I work to have to do as little editing as possible to show things for what they truly are and to showcase their natural beauty. My writing takes a similar approach, to be both critical and observant of current events and my personal experiences. I bring the two together in graphic design, where I try to utilize bright colors and graphics to visually tell a story.

Biography

I am a multimedia specialist located in southern West Virginia. I am a writer, photographer, and graphic designer. I was born and raised in Logan, West Virginia, where I currently reside. I always had a passion for writing and photography growing up, which led me to pursue journalism and later public relations. While studying for my undergraduate degree in journalism at Marshall University, I also developed a love for graphic design. I expanded on all of these skills while earning my masters in Integrated Marketing Communications from West Virginia University. My work was recently recognized in the 2020 Hidden History Photo Contest through The New River Gorge and National Park Service – where one of my photos was chosen as the overall Best in Show and two others placed in their respective categories.
