About Rosalie Haizlett
My creative business takes many forms! I create nature-inspired artwork using watercolor, ink, and gouache paint. I run an Etsy shop featuring my art prints and I wholesale my prints to over 50 shops in West Virginia and beyond. I’ve collaborated with brands and organizations like Smithsonian Folklife, Keen Footwear, US Fish & Wildlife Service, Dancing Gnome Brewery, and Big Raven Yoga. I’m the author of “Watercolor in Nature” and a Skillshare Top Teacher.
Biography
Hello! I’m Rosalie. I’m an illustrator who specializes in creating captivating hand-rendered visuals that celebrate the natural world.
I use illustration to honor the places and creatures that often go unnoticed. My goal is to remind viewers of the amazing intricacy of our planet. I hope that after seeing my work, people will spend a few more minutes scouring the forest floor for tiny treasures on their next adventure into the woods.
Recently, I was honored to be the Artist-in-Residence at Great Smoky Mountains National Park and with the National Audubon Society. My clients include the Smithsonian and the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service.
I am also an educator. So far, I’ve enjoyed teaching watercolor & outdoor observation workshops in schools, national parks and REI stores. I’ve also taught tens of thousands of students online as a Top Teacher at Skillshare. My first book, Watercolor in Nature: Paint Woodland Wildlife and Botanicals with 20 Beginner-Friendly Projects, will be published by Page Street Publishing Co. in November 2021.
