About Adam and Beth Bedway

East Wheeling Clayworks is a small batch pottery studio located on the banks of the Ohio River in Wheeling, WV. We strive to create pottery that is rich in both function and beauty. The majority of our work is created on the wheel, and we have a few hand built items as well. We sell both in our retail shop and online, and we sell our pots wholesale as well.

Biography

We are potters living and working in Wheeling, WV. We started our studio in 2016 after being tired of our day jobs and wanting to lead a more creative lifestyle. Once our studio was established, we decided that we also wanted to bring small scale manufacturing back to our city and provide good jobs for artisans here. We both have a BA in Studio Art from Bethany College, and Beth has an MA from George Washington in Museum Studies. Adam works primarily on the potter’s wheel and Beth does the majority of the hand decorating in our studio.
