Biography

Barrie Kaufman is a multi media artist from Charleston Wva working in glass, ceramics, printmaking and painting. She has work in the permanent collections of Taipei Fine Art Museum, Taipei ,Taiwan, Rutgers Center for Innovative Printmaking, Rutgers, N.J., Presse Papier, Trois Riviers ,Quebec ,Canada, West VirginiaPermanent Collection, The Clay Center for Arts and Sciences, Marshall University Graduate College , University of Charleston and others. She was West Virginia Artist of the year in 2014 and has received grants from The Kentucky Foundation for Women,The Painted Bride , Philadelphia, The MidAtlantic Art Foundation Grant for Residency at The Virginia Center For The Creative Arts, and Wva. Fellowship in Painting and Crafts. Barrie has had one women shows at The Clay Center for Arts and Sciences, Pittsburgh Center For the Arts, and Huntington Museum (Curators Choice). She lives with her husband and two dogs in Charleston , Wva.
