My paintings are developed from memory or photographs that I have taken. I usually ask my self “how do I want to tell this story?” It is natural for me to select bright colors by using pure pigment and present the feeling in a visual explosion.
Biography
I am a painter of fine art using watercolor, oil and acrylics With watercolor, I enjoy more paint and less water, but recently have been doing negative style. I enjoy bright colors with all of the mediums depending the mood I wish to set forth. I am originally from upstate New York but currently reside in Shepherdstown, WV. I studied Advertising Art and Design at SUNY Farmingdale and continued my education at Castleton University in Vermont. My previous residence in Morgantown, WV opened up watercolor avenues with local instructors. Workshops with Skip Lawrence, Bob Burridge, and Linda Kemp help set my style and motivated me to pursue painting. I enjoy showing the viewers how I see the world. It is a happy place with a little bit of mystery in every stroke.
