About Beth Keener-Flanery
Art is bigger than life on a wall. My work is the result of that sentiment. This allows me to interpret my work across different platforms, mediums, and textures.
My goal is to experiment with design as unique as you. To match its functionality with your everyday life. Efficiency coupled with elegance.
I love making one-of-a-kind purses in small batches—conscious design with limited runs.
Biography
In the 4th grade, we were asked to write about what we wanted to be when we grew up. I wrote, “I want to draw pictures,” and drew a picture on the remaining portion of the paper. My father made my first easel the following year for Christmas, and I was gifted a set of paints and brushes.
At 52, I have worked in the visual arts & creative design field for 30+ years. Some of those roles include graphic designer, interior stylist & staging, and adjunct professor of design and art history at Fairmont State University. I was the Executive Assistant to Barbara Luderowski at the Mattress Factory Museum of Contemporary Art. I served that role at Contemporary Craft in Pittsburgh before moving to Nashville, where I was the owner of SevenArt Gallery in downtown Hotel Indigo and Executive Director and now Public Curation Director of the Arts Council of Greater Morgantown, to name a few.
