Gauley River Pottery is a working pottery studio located close the route 19 between Summersville and Fayetteville. The shop is full of functional pottery with designs inspired by the whitewater and mountains of West Virginia. Visitors are welcome and invited to see our work process. The glazes and styles are unique to Gauley River Pottery.

Biography

I have been in West Virginia for over half my life now. I moved here for the fantastic whitewater and beautiful scenery. I began making pottery as my life began here. Each of my creations are inspired by the same beauty that brought me here. I studied at Marshall University, apprenticed with Ken Bichell and Keith Lahti.
