About Romey Williamson

I firmly believe that it is the responsibility of all artists, regardless of genre or medium, to create work that honestly represents their own thoughts, feelings, perspective and world view. To this end I’ve adopted a stream of consciousness style in my work, preferring to allow as much spontaneous creativity as possible throughout the creative process. The composition, colors, and subject matter all more or less materialize from my subconscious, providing what I hope is an honest and open look inside my own mind.

Biography

I’m a self-taught visual artist specializing in surreal/psychedelic themes. I work in a variety of media including pencils, inks, paint, body art and sculpture.

Born and raised in the mountain state, my work is often inspired by the natural beauty of the hollers and hills of West Virginia.
