About Pauline Sturgill
Old Mountain Fields Fine Arts and Crafts is a family-owned arts and crafts business committed to promoting and selling the work of West Virginia artists and craftspeople, especially women’s work. OMFFAC is located within The Collective, in downtown Williamson, WV, and features paintings, quilts, custom-made skin care products, crocheted and knitted items, and more. OMFFAC is in the process of expanding its shop’s footprint, expanding to include other work, including but not limited to glassware, pottery, woodworking, and jewelry.
Biography
Pauline Sturgill serves as the Executive Director of the Housing Authority of the City of Williamson. Sturgill has 40-plus years of professional experience in rural community capacity building and leadership development. Sturgill holds a Master’s Degree in Political Science, from Marshall University, and is a graduate of the WVU Community Development Institute, the WV Higher Education Chancellor’s Institute, the Diversity Leadership Academy of West Virginia, the REAL Entrepreneurship Institute, Leadership Plenty, the Grantsmanship Center, the National Service Leadership Institute and was a WVU Community Fellow. Pauline lives with her husband of 47 years in Mingo County West Virginia, on her family’s ridgetop farm “Sturgill Mountain Homestead”, which dates back to the mid-1800s. In her spare time, Pauline oil paints, quilts, and gardens and enjoys a good book.
