About Emily Wall
I create because I want to bring color to the world! I typically don’t get to apply a ton of creativity to my “day job” and as such use painting and other creative outlets as a stress reliever. Typically my pieces are donated to local charities for fundraisers and auctions. I have a drive to make my community better and in addition to volunteering, donating art let’s me give back. The majority of my paintings are acrylic, although I do work with oils, water color, alcohol ink, and mixed media. I also throw pottery and have recently begun refurbing furniture. My style is surrealism typically but have created custom pieces for folks in other styles.
Biography
I grew up in Gauley Bridge, WV (my mom’s hometown – my dad is from Juarez, Mexico) and I went to WVUIT for Civil and Mechanical Engineering. I have worked for Live Nation Entertainment (Ticketmaster) for over 22 years in various roles travelling both domestically and internationally and currently lead their Global Ethics & Compliance Department.
I love to give back to the community and volunteers as a Board member for FestivALL Charleston, the Alban Arts Center, and previously the Project Management Institute and the Training Advisory Board for the International Association of Privacy Professionals. I am a founding member of Arti Gras – and Arts & Music festival, and serve on various committees in Charleston and St. Albans. I have always loved to paint, draw, and sculpt and routinely donate work for fundraisers to local charities.
