Website

I am a full time studio artist who works in dyeing yarn and weaving. I work from my log cabin studio located in the eastern mountains of West Virginia. It is here the landscape and colors in surrounding hills inspire my work. Most noted for my colors and incredible softness, I weave textiles for the body including scarves, shawls, and baby wraps. I reach into the past for traditional weaving patterns that inform the contemporary designs of my work.

Biography

I am a full time studio artist hand dyeing natural yarns and hand weaving. The West Virginia landscape surrounding my log cabin is the primary source for my watercolor paintings that are abstracted into colorways for my scarves and shawls. I use a rich tradition of heritage base patterns for all of my weaving, drawing from the past to inform the contemporary designs.
